I was driving home and couldn’t stop thinking of Mary‘s words.
How often I did/do something that I don’t know why?
I’m not sure that I have a straight answer.
Sometimes, I feel (read hope) that my weird actions can help me in the future.
Sometimes, I think it helps me to learn/practice English and/or new things.
Sometimes, it’s just about feelings around my “weird” actions: excitement, adrenaline, satisfaction.
Mary kind of surprised me by accepting an invitation for a zoom meeting. She is a well-known writer and who am I? Her colleague and friend, and a fan of her work. And, yeah, a blogger! Perhaps my efforts in writing blog posts convinced Mary to participate in my talk show. Of course Mary doesn’t read my blog. But sometimes I showed her my drafts and asked questions about the English grammar.
