Instagram sent this message instead of posting my comment.

Yesterday, one instagram account that  I’ve been  following  recently created a meeting post. It is a good way to find new people to read and let others know yourself.

But what should I write about myself? Unlike others,  I am not a journalist, or coach, or practical psychologist, or copywriter. I am just an average American, well, Russian-American, to be more specific – a Russian wife with the bee up  my  bum.

If to forget for a minute about that coronavirus reality I am lucky to be who I am, and where I am. All of us can be lucky in some way or another, don’t you agree?

I was lucky to be born during the Soviet era with no junk food and nice clothes in the stores. I’ve learned (over the years though) how to cook. I also learned how to knit, sew, and create my own clothes.

I was lucky that both parents had to work, and I was not under their control 24/7. After “after lessons” activities, I had an opportunity to learn life lessons. I met new people, made friends, fell in love, decided for  myself  what were bad or good habits.

I was also lucky that my parents were not fixated on the high education of their kids. That has made me a self-educated person. I decided myself what to study, where and when. Unfortunately, my two Technical school degrees didn’t help to get a high-paying job. But it was my choice, and I graduated from those schools.

I was lucky enough to survive the change of the  government system in the country, the dashing 90s, an unsuccessful marriage and many other things that eventually led me to my current status of a Russian wife.

In the end, I was lucky that Instagram didn’t publish my comment. Instead I wrote this post.

And what about you, are you a lucky person?

    1. Thanks. Unfortunately, I can’t follow you back. My account is banned or whatever it is. I try to focus on my blog now.

        1. It has been like that for 2 months already. I have no business attached to Instagram. So, I don’t care much. Just don’t want to loose all the new contacts.
