What do you miss the most when you are not at home? Or what is a necessary part of your day? To me this is tea.

I am not myself if I don’t have at least one cup of hot tea a day. I am from Russia where tea-drinking has become a national tradition.Tea is an extremely significant part of Russian culture. Hot tea is one of the most popular beverages in the country partly because of its cold climate. Today, an estimated 80 percent of Russians drink tea every day.

Russians are very superstitious and are attentive to various omens. I am Russian, and I can confirm this fact. It’s very hard to get rid of prejudices, if you grew up and lived with them for 40 years.

Astronomical spring or the spring equinox

On March 20th (2019) many people congratulated each other with beginning of Spring. Also, we can call it Astronomical spring or vernal equinox.

            The spring and autumn equinoxes are considered to be the astronomical beginning of the seasons of the same name.

            The spring equinox is an astronomical phenomenon in which the center of the Sun, in its visible motion along the Ecliptic, crosses the celestial equator. The vernal equinox begins between March 19 and 21, at different points of the planet at different times. The time of the equinox is related both to the geographical location of the countries and to the duration of calendar years.
